FAQ's

About Rose and Ben Beauty Products

Are Rose and Ben Beauty products cruelty-free?

Yes! All our products are PETA-certified, cruelty-free, and vegan.

What are the fibers made of?

The brush fibers are cruelty-free and made of synthetic, man-made material. They are extruded from Polybutylene Terephthalate (PBT) at a proprietary blend of diameters and tip lengths that create the ideal application. Brush fibers are not produced from any animal and are never tested on animals.

What are the handles made of?

Our brush handles are made from FSC-certified wood. This means for every tree harvested to make paper, a new tree is planted in its place. Due to natural patterns and variations within the wood, each handle is unique.

Is the packaging eco-friendly?

Yes! Each product is packed in FSC-certified paper packaging. Our non-toxic packaging peanuts are certified compostable, static-free, and dissolve in water.

Care Instructions

How do I clean my brushes?

  1. Add the cleaner directly to the brush head or your Rose and Ben Beauty Cleansing Palm Pad.
  2. Without adding water, work the cleanser into the brush fibers without pressing too hard using gentle circular or back-and-forth motions.
  3. Rinse thoroughly with warm water, continuing with cleaning motions until the cleanser runs white.
  4. Squeeze excess water from fibers by pressing the brush head onto the cleansing pad or onto your clean Sheila Brush Towel.
  5. Gently pinch the brush fibers together to reshape.
  6. Lay flat to dry on the Sheila Brush Towel to ensure no water travels into the brush’s aluminum ferrule with the brush head hanging over the edge of a surface.

How do I wash The Setting Puff?

Hand wash gently using a gentle soap or cleanser and water, then rinse thoroughly. Lay flat to dry.

How do I wash the Sheila Brush Towel?

It is machine washable. The maximum washing temperature is 105°F. Tumble dry low. Do not bleach or dry clean.

Top Brush Care Tips:

  • Do not submerge your brushes in water. This can weaken the glue in the ferrule that holds the bristles together.
  • Do not use alcohol or alcohol-based cleaners to clean your brushes unless you are a professional makeup artist and must do so while in between clients. Alcohol can destroy your brushes if misused, especially if brushes are dipped directly into it.

Do the fibers stain?

  • Using highly pigmented products and/or acid/oil-based formulas may stain the brush fibers, handles, and ferrules.
  • We highly recommend cleaning your brushes after each use according to our Brush Care instructions, which are outlined on each product page.
